Agriculture: Minister of Water Resources inaugurates farm implementsAgriculture

The Federal Government has assured Nigerians of its readiness to provide adequate water supply to boost agriculture in the country.
The Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Prof. Joseph Utsev disclosed this during a working visit on Friday in Kano.
The minister inaugurate farm Implements which include eight tractors and four combined harvesters at Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Development Authority.
He said the inauguration is a significant step towards agricultural initiative and boost food production in Nigeria.
“The renewed hope of President Bola Tinubu, is to boost food production, create jobs for populace in the country.
“The essence of government commitment to water resources and agriculture across the nation is to attain self-sustaining growth”,he said.
Utsev further explained that Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Development Authority (HJRBDA) has taken a giant stride to assemble a fleet of tractors and combined harvesters for farming purpose.
He commended the President for his support in agricultural sector through his approval and funding of several projects.
The minister urge all stakeholders to continue working together to ensure that water resources and agricultural sectors reach their full potentials.”,
On his part, the Managing Director, of HJRBDA, Alhaji Ma’amun Aliyu, promise adequate maintenance of the facilities to achieve its mandate.
