Fagge Rep Empowers Constituents with Motorcycles, Freezers, and Ongoing Hospital Project

By KABIRU AMINU MUHAMMAD

Kano, Northwestern Nigeria— The member of the House of Representatives representing the Fagge Federal Constituency, Muhammad Bello Shehu (MB Shehu), has continued to put a smile on the faces of his constituency by alleviating their problems through empowerment with basic necessities.

In his statement during the flag-off ceremony, he reiterated his commitment to wealth and job creation while also bringing solutions to the challenges faced in the health sector, especially in his consistency.

This is coming at the occasion where he empowers the constituency with motorcycles for both young and old men, while the freezers for the young and old women are worth the sum of N50,000 as a startup capital.

However, having understood the importance of healthcare facilities, especially in the rural communities where mostly women and children die of negligence due to lack of proper or conducive facilities, the member furthered the construction of the SABO GARBA HOSPITAL.

Before now, there were many calls for the construction of the hospital, but many were abandoned despite its significant value to the people, but I will celebrate the milestone with you, my constituency, for giving me the mandate to deliver back as we push to provide solutions to many issues for the betterment and welfare of all, he stated.

While addressing newsmen at the flag-up ceremony of the inclusive empowerment, the member emphasised the need to give back to the masses who voted him in with the hope that he will deliver on their mandate.

According to him, before now, I have made promises during and after my campaign, and that played a vital role in my emergence as an honorable member today. As a bona fide member of this constituency who has the trust and goodwill of his constituency, I can’t fail to meet their demands.

Part of the demand and promises are what we have been doing, and this milestone is a new beginning, although we have done similar, and after this empowerment, more are coming, he continues.

Let me make this clear: this is not a political gathering, nor did I organize such for publicity, but to serve as an example to others in doing their primary functions as public office holders while also building hope and trust with the masses, who have long stated losing hope in leaders in the country,” he added.

Constituent Reactions

Beyond what we have imagined to see, honestly, history will never forget today for such empowerment. Musa Salisu, a beneficiary, gives an account while supporters chant with smiles and satisfaction.

In jubilation, many hold a congregational prayer in honour of the member as they highlight the milestone that would have never happened with him as their representative in the House of Representatives, said Mr. Salisu.

“I believe what we witness today will serve as an example to the leaders in this country. For this empowerment, we see and understand what inclusion and financial support are. More youth and women will now engage in business, which will help in curtailing insecurity and alleviating poverty. Indeed, we are honored by this project and support,” he added.

Like Mr. Salisu, another beneficiary, Hadiza Muhammad, thanked the honorable member for the initiative and urged women and youth to support all his policies and bills sponsored while also campaigning for his return to the House of Representatives. She revealed that only he can deliver on the people’s mandate.

Not only myself, but this support will contribute to our financial independence, especially as women who contribute to the nation’s development; thus, this will support my household positively, Hadiza said.
