"Upon receiving distress call, operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps promptly responded and were quickly joined by personnel from the Federal Fire Service, the Nigerian Red Cross Society, and the Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA).
" The joint rescue team immediately cordoned off the area, diverted traffic, and ensured the safety of lives and property.",the statement said.
Abdullahi said that firefighters from the Federal Fire Service took swift and professional measures to prevent any fire outbreak while overseeing the delicate process of offloading the PMS from the unstable tanker.
The CRC thanked all the agencies for their prompt, coordinated intervention emergency response to avert a looming disaster.
