KNSG train health managers on operational planning, monitoring, evaluation

By Zainab Olufunmi The Kano State Government is training health managers across the 44 local government areas on operational planning, monitoring and evaluation. The Commissioner for Health, Dr Abubakar Labaran, said during the training on Wednesday that the initiative would enhance efficiency of health programmes by equipping managers with the skills to develop realistic plans, track progress and assess outcomes. He added that the training was part of broader efforts to strengthen the state’s health system and improve health indicators. Coalition urges supreme court to expedite ruling on kano emirship tussle

By Olufunmi  The Coalition of Political Analysts Forum, Democracy Protectors and Good Governance has called on the Supreme Court to expedite judgment on the lingering legal tussle surrounding the Kano Emirate. The Executive Director of the Forum, Comrade Al-Amin Albarra, made the call on Thursday during a press briefing in Kano. He expressed concern over the prolonged emirship dispute, warning that the situation poses a serious threat to peace and stability in the state. Albarra urged the court to deliver a final verdict on the matter that is been dragged on for over a year, creating confusion, allowing room for political interference and manipulation. FRSC Pledges to Sustain Working Relationship with Kano NUJ Correspondents' Chapel

By our correspondent  The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kano Sector Command, has expressed readiness to deepening working relationship with Kano State Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) to promote public safety and responsible road. The Sector Commander, Corps Commander Muhammad Bature made the pledge on Tuesday while receiving the new executive members of the chapel at the FRSC Command headquarters in Kano.  The sector commander congratulated the new executive members on their successful election and appreciated the visit as a strong sign of commitment to a continued partnership. “We are pleased with this show of solidarity from the new leadership of the Correspondents’ Chapel.
