NCS tasks PROs on digital communication, tackling misinformation
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has charged its Public Relations Officers (PROs) to master digital communication and counter misinformation to strengthen public trust in the Service. The Comptroller-General of Customs, Mr. Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, gave the charge on Monday at the opening of a four-day capacity building workshop for PROs at Bayero University, Kano. Adeniyi, represented by the Acting Deputy Comptroller-General, Mr. Timi Bomodi, said a single message could go viral within minutes in today’s interconnected world, hence the need for PROs to communicate clearly, consistently and credibly.
