NCS tasks PROs on digital communication, tackling misinformation

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has charged its Public Relations Officers (PROs) to master digital communication and counter misinformation to strengthen public trust in the Service. The Comptroller-General of Customs, Mr. Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, gave the charge on Monday at the opening of a four-day capacity building workshop for PROs at Bayero University, Kano. Adeniyi, represented by the Acting Deputy Comptroller-General, Mr. Timi Bomodi, said a single message could go viral within minutes in today’s interconnected world, hence the need for PROs to communicate clearly, consistently and credibly. Education, governance critical for Nigeria’s Future

Education, good governance and nutrition are critical for Nigeria's only resource and future. The 16th emir of Kano His Highness Dr. Muhammadu Sanusi II said told newsmen on Saturday in Kano  the second edition of KAPFEST. He said education remains most valuable asset in life, describing it as the only resource that cannot be taken away once acquired. According to him," wealth, positions or material possessions can be lost, education endures permanently. "Parents, governments and communities must prioritize education because “it is the only truth, and there is no alternative",he said.
