NDLEA Commander Bags Merit Award from Fagge Community

By Kabiru Aminu Muhammed The Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Kano Strategic Command, ACGN A.I. Ahmad, has been presented with a Merit Award by the Restore Fagge Community. The award, presented on Wednesday in Kano, was in recognition of the command’s sustained operations against drug trafficking networks in Fagge Local Government Area. Ahmad received the award on behalf of the NDLEA Kano Command. Mr. Nura Ubali, Head of Fagge B Ward, said the NDLEA’s operations had led to significant seizures of illicit substances and the arrest of suspected drug dealers. He said the operations had improved public safety and forced many dealers to abandon the trade, with some repenting. Ubali commended Ahmad and his officers for their efforts, noting that the community would continue to support rehabilitation initiatives for victims of drug abuse. The programme, which involves the regular provision of tea, suya, and other light refreshments at the chapel’s secretariat, was officially launched by the chapel’s leadership during a brief ceremony attended by members and invited guests in Kano. KNSG train health managers on operational planning, monitoring, evaluation

The Commissioner for Health, Dr Abubakar Labaran, said during the training on Wednesday that the initiative would enhance efficiency of health programmes by equipping managers with the skills to develop realistic plans, track progress and assess outcomes. He added that the training was part of broader efforts to strengthen the state’s health system and improve health indicators. Coalition urges supreme court to expedite ruling on kano emirship tussle

The Executive Director of the Forum, Comrade Al-Amin Albarra, made the call on Thursday during a press briefing in Kano. The State FRSC sector Commander, Muhammed Bature, stated this at a town hall meeting on Monday in Kano. He said that the meeting is to address persistent safety and security challenges posed by articulated vehicles. The CRC of FRSC, Alhaji  Abdullahi Labaran stated this in a statement and issued to newsmen on Wednesday in kano.
